For A Better Tomorrow (FBT) is proud to announce nominees for the inaugural Why I See You, YICU Service Award, as part of its mission to recognize and celebrate young adults’ leadership skills and contributions to the broader community. 

Program Overview:

FBT collaborates with other community partners to give special recognition to young adults who have made their mark on our community. FBT’s YICU Service Award recognizes and celebrates community service and leadership in McLean County. Proceeds from the event will benefit the diverse efforts supported by FBT, including Youth Global Citizen (YGC).

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrates a strong desire to become a better leader in all aspects of life
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead and inspire others
  • Demonstrates (or possesses) a passion for serving others

Nomination/Application Information:

  • Nominations are being accepted for outstanding young people who reside in McLean County and are between the ages of 12 and 22. Nominations are due June 15, 2017. 
  • Applications may be submitted by any young person who meets the criteria on the Application Form due June 15, 2017. You do not have to be nominated to complete an application. 

2017 Event Information:

  • FBT’s YICU Service Award Celebration will be held 1 - 3 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Parke Regency Hotel, 1413 Leslie Dr, Bloomington, IL.
  • There will be three age categories for the selected nominees. Ten winners will be announced from the nominees, three from each age category and one at large.
